“I have pursued neuroscience and neurology to study the human nervous system and treat people affected by neurologic illnesses. The nervous system is the most miraculous and fascinating structure in the universe. The rest of the body functions to sustain it and we are who we are because of it. The cognitive, emotional and spiritual health of the nervous system determines our well-being and neurologic conditions are often chronic and debilitating. Thankfully, very exciting and important recent advances in the field of neuroscience are now making it possible to prevent and treat many challenging neurologic diseases. I am very grateful that I am in this field and get an opportunity to care for people affected by these illnesses with the best of my ability.”
